Poopsie Slime

This sweet looking Poopsie Slime purse has been the bane of my existence since Christmas…I know that sounds so dramatic, lol. Maybe it’s not quite that bad, but my sweet little six year old received this ginormous slime kit as a gift and I promise you, those large, mascara laden eyes have followed me around the house ever since…Mocking me. If you’re a parent that’s ever dealt in slime, you know where I’m coming from, but yesterday was the day. My precious daughter wagged in the massive purse that is almost as big as she is, looked up at me with those big blue eyes and said, “Please, Mama?” So slime time was upon us…Did I mention there were no instructions included?

So we charged right in! Isn’t it pretty?! I have to admit that I was grumbling under my breath trying to find a YouTube video that would instruct us step-by-step in the slime making process, but my inner little girl was a tad giddy when I saw all the pretty colors and scents you could pick from to make the most amazing “Poopsie” slime. Also included was some Unicorn Magic, Unicorn Sparkle, and Unicorn Crunch that you could mix in the slime to make it shimmery, sparkly, or just to add a little texture.

Mia chose a pink color, of course, with a fruity scent and some Unicorn Magic. We mixed and shook and let it sit for 10 minutes and the first round was a disaster. I’m not exactly sure what we did wrong, but the extremely sticky, runny mess was clearly not right, so round two was underway.

The round two slime came out beautifully, also a pink color with a fruity scent and some Unicorn Magic, however, we did lose about half a package of Unicorn Crunch on the floor. That’s just all part of the experience right?! The kit was pretty easy to use really and now Mia can basically complete a slime on her own with very little supervision.

All in all, I have to admit that the slime burden has been lifted off my shoulders a bit, since the Poopsie Slime purse has been cracked open and experienced. Just another lesson to myself that sometimes what you dread the most can actually turn out to be a pretty great bright spot in your day.

Hope everyone out there has a great weekend!
